Zadroga Captures 1975 Spring Fling
Al Zadroga,
the Elizabeth, Pa. lefthander, pitched an outstanding 80.8 ringer percentage to
win the New Castle Horseshoe Club’s Spring Fling Tournament which was held on
June 7th and 8th.
Close on his heels was rookie Glen Burris from Bellefonte, Pa. Glen proved to everyone that he will be a
bonafide candidate for top honors in any tournament when he posted a 76.8%
average and a 5-2 record in a tough Class A.
He pushed 1974 Pa State Champ Buck Engle to 144 shoes before being edged
50-48.
