James Knisley – February Red Mill Open Champion
James Knisley of Bremen, Oh defeated Clyde Martz of Pittsburgh in a sudden death playoff to capture the second 1968 Red Mill winter horseshoe tournament. Jim had an excellent tournament, averaging an 80.6% and having only one game under the 80% mark – a 78.3%.
The
Sowa brothers then ganged up on the Class B and C pitchers, with Pete winning B
and Charles Winning C – both of them going undefeated.
