Martz Easy Winner In Scotty’s Open at Washington, Pa.

Clyde Martz of Pittsburgh won the class A division of the Scotty’s Open Horseshoe Tournament. The tournament was held August 5^th and 6^th at Scotty’s located two miles South of Washington.

Clyde won the championship by winning a playoff game with Frank Kilinsky of Canonsburg. Clyde averaged 75.3%. Second place was won by Frank Kilinsky with a percentage of 67.6.

Class B was won by Frank Oliverio of Washington, with Tom Board of Rochester as runnerup. Third place was won by Al Booth of Washington.

Clyde Sprowls of Claysville won the C division of the tournament, with John Barnhart of Dunns Station as runnerup. George Dolanch of Canonsburg, cam in third. Class D division was won by Frank O’Bosky of Canonsburg. Jim Schneider of Washington was second. Bob Wagner, also from Canonsburg, won the class E championship.

Donna Crouse of Washington won the Ladies class. Mary Ann Kilinsky of Canonsburg clinched the 2^nd place position and also was tournament statistician. Don Papp was the winner in the junior division.
