Morris Wins Lawrence County Title
Bob Morris of New Castle, Pa. is the new horseshoe champion of
the City and Lawrence County in Pennsylvania.
Morris won the title at the George Washington courts by posting a
perfect record, 5-0. Clyde Gilmore of
Volant, the f1965 Champion finished second.
Dale
Elder, 16-year-old son of Carl, won the B title. Opal Corbett of New Castle finished second.

Elder also won the Junior Championship, winning all his games. Second place in the Jr. group went to Milton
McCoy of Edinburg, while Randy Bara and Darrell Brightshue, both from New
Castle were tied for third.
Jim
McCoy of Edinburgh won first place in the Class B division and David Beatrice
of New Castle won second. First place
winner in the Jr division was presented a pair of horseshoes. The other winners were given gift
certificates.
Trophies
were presented to the winners of the Adults by the New Castle Club.
