John Fulton Wins New Freedom, Penna. Invitational
John Fulton of Carlisle, Pa., won the New Freedom Invitational Tournament by narrowly edging out Dale Carson of Baltimore, Md. The tournament was designed to boost horseshoes in the New Freedom area and met with considerable success. Under the organization of Glenn R. Brown several new NHPA members were signed and an interest in organized tournament activity was initiated.
